Today we wrapped up a great week at the Belmont University Lean Healthcare Certificate Course! (See posts on the beginning of the week – BU Course Review)

On Wednesday the class participated in an all day simulation putting to practice their new skills of Value Stream Mapping, standard work, pull systems, 5S, and many more!  Each of the three teams completed the day successful in the event.



Thursday the group learned more about daily management of the tools learned and what situations to use specific lean tools.  The afternoon included a mini-kaizen in the state of the art nursing labs here at Belmont.  Unfortunately we did not get any pictures 🙁

Today wrapped up with Dr. David Munch addressing the class on implementation and the role of leadership in Lean Transformations as he led the group in coaching exercises.
